Y6 learn about International Women’s Day

Y6 have learnt about International Women’s Day. We learnt about what it stands for, discussed the word ‘equity’ and looked at some inspirational women. We then created some collage art work showing girls and women in different jobs or sports that are “typically male” to show equity.

World book day…

We loved World Book today, it was such a snuggly day coming into school in our pyjamas. We loved sharing our favourite stories and listening to stories too. We did lots of World Book Day activities and had so much fun.

Y5 learn about Australia

Y5 are learning about Australia this half term. Last week we identified the territories in Australia and what makes it a physically diverse country. This week we learnt about the vital role that Murray-Darling river basin plays to the people of South East Australia.

Spiders in Reception

We have been busy creating spiders using playdough. The children decided on their own individual designs- some use split pins for eyes and some included black hair. One child even inserted a brain! I love how different they all look.
