Dissecting Daffodils!

This term in science, Y5’s have been focusing on the topic of living things. In todays lesson, they have been dissecting and looking at different parts of a daffodil. All the children were really engaged and throughly enjoyed separating each part of it. They used key words such as: petals, stamen, pistil, ovary and ovules.

When you see your child, ask them about different parts of the daffodil and see if they can tell you what they have learnt.
