“I am overjoyed that I have got a place at the Girls’ High, as the school is in the top 6% of schools in the UK, I can’t believe I have come from a normal primary school, and got a place at a top independent secondary school! “ – Leah Senior

Leah Senior is one of the first two girls to ever secure a place at Sheffield Girls’ High School

Leah passed the entrance exam to Sheffield Girls’ High in the top 25% of girls who applied and secured a place with a 90% scholarship with full travel costs. This is a life-changing opportunity for Leah is thrilled to have been offered a place and cannot wait to start her future there.

To be able to take her place at Sheffield Girls’ high School, Leah needs to raise a further £6,000 to pay for her fees all the way to Year 11. Hatfield Academy have been getting involved in helping her to raise the funds. A crowdfunding page has been set up at

where lots of people have already donated money to Leah’s cause, raising £2,220 so far.

To raise even more money, Hatfield Academy are holding a non-uniform day on Friday 31st March. Children can pay £1 to come in their own clothes for the day and all money raised will go towards Leah’s cause. Leah will also be selling cakes and buns, donated by parents and staff during the day to raise more funds.
