Learning at Home

At Hatfield we believe it is crucial that parents know what their children are learning at school so that they can discuss it with them and also help with any homework tasks. It is vital that children have a confident grasp of basic skills in English and maths so that they get the best start in life.

Each half-term, teachers will send home a selection of tasks to support children’s basic skills knowledge in reading, spelling, times tables, maths and English generally as well as a homework menu which will have activities linked to our wider curriculum for children to complete so that they can get as creative as possible! There will be options to do work around history, geography, Spanish and computing, just to name a few. There will also be the opportunity for children to complete a whole-school project with a specific theme, twice a year.

In order to support children in completing their homework, we will also run homework clubs during lunchtime and after school.

Please view our Homework Policy here and Homework Menu for more information.

Thank you to the employers who have supported us with STEM this year
