World Mental Health Day
On Friday 13th October 2017 we celebrated World Mental Health Day. The whole school took part in positive thinking and relaxation activities in order to raise awareness and promote the importance of taking care of our mental health and wellbeing.
As part of the day staff and pupils came to school in their pyjamas to raise money for Chilypep, an amazing organisation that raises awareness of and supports children and young people with mental health issues.
We wore pyjamas in recognition of the fact that we all need a break and relaxation time to care for our own mental wellbeing. It was also a symbol of our support for those people struggling with mental health issues, who sometimes simply cannot get out of bed in the morning.
An amazing day was had by all, and we raised £156.60 for Chilypep! Well done Team Hatfield!
Roald Dahl Day!
On Wednesday 13th September 2017, in celebration of Roald Dahl Day, pupils and staff took part in the Dahlicious Dress Up Day.
The school was filled with Matilda’s, Oompa Loompas, Fantastic Mr. Foxes, The Twits, B.F.Gs, witches and much more, all to raise funds for Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity.
The charity provides nurses and other forms of care and support to terminally ill children and their families.
We are Dahlighted to say that we raised a marvellous £250.15. Well done everyone!
