At Hatfield Academy, we’re proud to be a caring and inclusive school where children feel happy, supported, and excited to learn. Everything we do is guided by our belief that “individually we grow, together we thrive” – and that means every child is encouraged to be the very best version of themselves.
We set high expectations for behaviour, effort, and achievement, and we make sure all children know they are capable of great things. Our school is a calm and positive place where children feel safe and valued, and where learning is fun, purposeful, and inspiring.
We want all our pupils to become active, responsible learners who are proud of their progress, trustworthy and thoughtful towards others, and enthusiastic about taking part in all aspects of school life. We encourage them to be self-confident, to try new things, and to keep going even when learning feels challenging.
Our curriculum follows the National Curriculum and is designed to give children a broad and balanced education. We cover all the essential subjects. Maths, English, science, computing, history, geography, art, PE, and more – while bringing learning to life through exciting topics, hands-on experiences, and opportunities for creativity and curiosity.
What makes our curriculum special are the values and key ideas that run through everything we do. Aspiration helps our children aim high and believe in themselves. Belonging creates a strong sense of community and helps every child feel included, valued, and supported. Confidence encourages children to take risks, communicate clearly, work well with others, and develop resilience.
As part of the Astrea Academy Trust, we’re proud to work alongside other excellent schools, sharing best practice and benefiting from a wide range of expertise and support. This partnership helps us to raise standards and provide the very best for our pupils.
At Hatfield, we believe every child has the potential to thrive – and we’re here to help them do just that.
