At Hatfield Academy, we are committed to developing the whole child, not just their academic achievement. Our personal development offer helps children become competent, confident and caring young people who are ready for life beyond the classroom. Through our PSHE curriculum, our Voice 21 Oracy Centre of Excellence, enrichment opportunities, leadership roles, educational visits and wider experiences, pupils develop confidence, resilience, empathy, responsibility and respect for others. We encourage every child to discover their talents, contribute to their community and develop the knowledge, skills and character needed to learn, thrive and succeed.

Learning at home
Learning doesn’t stop when the school day ends. The small things you do at home can make a huge difference to your child’s progress. Reading together every day, practising key maths facts, talking about what your child has learnt in school and encouraging curiosity all help to build confidence and deepen understanding. We also encourage children to use high-quality online resources to reinforce their learning in a fun and engaging way. Just 10–15 minutes of regular practice can have a significant impact over time.
