The children have learnt all about the history of the royal family and the significance of the King’s coronation. This culminated in a lovely celebration picnic on Friday- thank you again to all parents for their incredible generosity!

This week in EYFS, to conclude our topic on growing and changing we have dissected a daffodil using tweezers. We then identified and named the different parts and counted how many there were.

This afternoon children had some great time making different craft activities with their parents. They worked hard to make Easter eggs with tissue paper, suncatchers and daffodils.

This week we have been learning about fruits and vegetables in EYFS. We have learnt that some of our food grows as plants and we can name and describe a range of fruit and vegetables. By the end of this week we are going to taste some of the delicious …

Our children had lots of fun on Friday- here are some pictures.

This was the most heart-warming event ever… the lovely Year 6 children read to the Reception children and they had such a wonderful time- hopefully, it will become a regular event!

We have been busy creating spiders using playdough. The children decided on their own individual designs- some use split pins for eyes and some included black hair. One child even inserted a brain! I love how different they all look.  

We made some yummy jam sandwiches. We used first, next, after, then and last to explain the process of making a sandwich. And, we really enjoyed eating them too.

This morning, all children in FS2 were lucky enough to explore the mobile planetarium!  When we were inside the dome it was very dark and there were stars all around, so it felt like we were in space! Inside the dome we were able to see video’s of the earth …
