We have been busy making our own flat bread which helped us practise our measuring skills and use lots of interesting language like empty and full, long and short, teaspoon and cup etc. We then spent a lovely week finding out about Chinese New Year which ended with us tasting …

This week in maths we are learning about measure. Every day, a group of children will follow a recipe, measure the ingredients, knead the dough and make their own flatbread. A few groups already had a go and they absolutely loved it.

This week Reception have loved learning about space. This week we have looked at the International Space Station and made a list of items we would take to space. We have also learnt some interesting facts about Tim Peake and Mae Jemison.

We are absolutely loving learning about space- ask the children what astronaut means and what a comet is- they are full of new vocabulary and are really enjoying learning about space, the stars, planets and the International Space Station.

Reception have had some very important visitors from the dentist today. They have talked to us about how to keep our teeth clean and the types of food we should be eating so that they stay strong and healthy.
