Year 3 go to York!

Yesterday, we had a wonderful day in York. We visited the Jorvik Viking Centre and the DIG Museum. We spoke about how we could be safe when crossing roads and we were brilliant at following instructions, showing good respect and listening to people when they were talking to us.

We learnt lots of different things about the Vikings which will support our upcoming learning about the Vikings. This will allow us to build on their knowledge that they have learnt yesterday on their trip. In the Jorvik centre we looked at different artefacts that have been found in York and went on a little ride back in time to show us what it would have looked and smelt like in Viking times. In the DIG Museum we had a go at being archaeologists and digging up artefacts.
